Hi, looks like there\'s more of us than I thought. Interesting, Nick in Gloucestershire, there\'s very few of us down this way. I\'m originally from Furness in Cumbria, Furness used to butt against Westmorland so there\'s a chance that we may be closer than you hink. Mind you there are a few Armers there and I know very few of them.

Great site. I\'m originally from Co Durham (to where my Armer ancestors moved from Westmorland in the late 1850\'s/early 1860\'s). I have carried out some research into my family history (only one black sheep - a naval person - the rest of us have been Army ), and some day would hope to emulate your success.

Hi. This is a great site. I never knew there were so many Armers out there. My father is Kenneth Lee Armer born in 1951 and his father is Ronald Armer, he lives in Illinois. I have no more information than that. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would love to hear from you.
