I found your site very interesting. Armer is my maiden name and I\'ve done some geneology searches but never turned up any Armers south of the Mason Dixon line in the line. All my people came from Pennsylvania and Ohio. Any connection?

Hi, My maiden name is Armer and I grew up in Houston, Texas. I know my grandfather came to America as a child. He worked in Louisiana for a while and ended up in Houston. He & my grandmother had 5 children in Houston. My father was William Magill Armer and he died in 1981 or 1982 (I need to look that up) My mom passed away last year. Maybe some of us are related. This is very interesting.

I am looking for a Lucinda Jane Armer, b. 3 Dec 1847 to Thomas Armer and Sarah Hughes. She married William Ellison Taylor on 27 Dec 1864 in Bibb Co., AL. They appear in Montgomery County, TX in 1880 census. W.E. Taylor is my ggrandfather. Could this Thomas Armer possibly be the son of your William Armer b. 1796? I would appreciate any help in tracking Thomas Armer. Thanks.
